Urethane mounting blocks will aid in damping the vibration from machinery as well in large equipment. Most urethane mounting blocks will be cast to size and will be used in a pinch style set up while others will have molded inserts ready for bolt on applications. With a full variety of hardness ranges, most urethane mounting blocks are cast from a 90A durometer.
Urethane mounting blocks are nonmarking and will absorb noise and help reduce harsh slamming from equipment. Being able to cast urethane mounting blocks to size allows Plan Tech to supply high-quality mounting blocks with any profile or detail needed for any custom application. From a simple sketch, our team of engineers will work with you on every detail on your next project. Polyurethane mounting blocks are also nonconductive and hold up every well in outdoor applications. Plan Tech’s mounting blocks can take the abuse of repeated impacts while rapidly returning back to its original shape. Also available in FDA urethane specifically designed to be used with existing x-ray equipment.
On average urethane, mounting blocks will outperform rubber 4 to 1 making urethane the #1 choice for all high demand applications. Machining cast urethane parts require specialized equipment and training. Here at Plan Tech we make all of our own molds in-house for speed, accuracy, and precision. We control the entire process from design to manufacturing. Mold making is at the very core of what we do. Our machine shop includes CNC Lathes, Mills and Grinders for machining cast urethane parts. We also have manual mills as well as a sheet metal and welding area. We have a Flow Water jet with 48×96 inch sheet capabilities and can cut a list of materials like Polyurethane, Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Carbon fiber, and most plastics. We create complex molds for our in-house use as well as many of the components that are molded into customer products.
